Possess Your Healing - Joshua 1:3

Today, I receive my healing!”

If you need healing, you need to possess it like Joshua and the Israelites possessed the land God promised them. To get it, they had to put their feet on what belonged to them. As a Christian, healing already belongs to you. Isaiah 53 says Jesus has taken our sickness, weakness and pain, and that by His wounds we are healed.

So healing is yours. You just have to take hold of it. You have to possess it! Now, that’s not always easy. It wasn’t easy for Joshua to possess the land God promised him. God told him he would have to be “strong and very courageous” (Joshua 1: 7).

The people of Israel had to arm themselves and fight their enemy. They had to put their feet on the land that belonged to them. In the same way, taking the land of healing requires spiritual strength and courage. Why? Because you don’t always find yourself instantly healed. Sometimes it takes time. When you think about it, that’s not so unusual. After all, in most cases, sickness and disease do their destructive work gradually.

They don’t just appear one moment, and kill you the next. They take time. So it’s not surprising that healing often destroys them gradually as well. If you need healing today, you need to step out on God’s promise of health for you and say, “Healing is mine. Satan is not going to steal it from me. No one is going to talk me out of it. It belongs to me.

Today, I receive my healing!” Once you’ve said that, don’t ever say anything different. Don’t let time or feelings change your mind. Just stay with it. Continue to take God’s medicine— the Word— every day and you will continually improve. When Satan comes back next week and tells you you’re not going to get your healing, just laugh and say, “Too late! I put my foot on healing ground last week and it’s mine.”

Then refuse to give up. Your healing will come— every time! Isaiah 53: 1-5.
