Be Still In The Midst Of Life's Storm - Hebrew 12:26-27

God looks at the eternal aspect of what we go through

Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. 27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Hebrew 12:26-27.

JESUS SAYS “my kingdom is not of this world...” He did not say my kingdom is not in this world, in the midst of war rumors of war, and political unrest, we as children of the light have received the mandate to rest.

From above Bible passages, we realize that God is fully aware and the unrest is not beyond His control if we take charge of our mind through His Word.

Today I want to state the five main reasons for shaking:

  • To bring it closer to its foundation ;
  • To remove what is dead ;
  • To harvest what is ripe ;
  • To awaken ;
  • To unify or mix together so it can no longer be separated.

Often we view situations in our lives through short-range glasses. This distorts the true picture.

God looks at the eternal aspect of what we go through. If we look at situations only from our limited vantage, two things can happen.

  1. First, in the midst of God’s purging process we will be easy prey to offense, whether it is with God or one of His servants.
  2. Second, the enemy can easily deceive us; Satan will use something that seems right at the moment, but his ultimate plan is to use that to our own destruction or death.

When we are settled in trusting God, we are not moved from the Father’s care.
